Dr. Michael Civin

At various times in his career, Dr. Michael Civin was a professor, faculty member, and associate professor at several institutions of higher learning. Also, his writing has been published many times, in the form of journal articles and book chapters. Education is important to him; it serves as the anchor and the basis for his career, which is still going strong after about three decades. It is clear that Michael Civin, Ph.D. values education highly, as both a teacher and a student.

He started his educational journey by graduating cum laude from Harvard in 1968 with an A.B. Degree. Then, in 1970, Dr. Civin attended the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and followed that by earning his first Master of Arts degree from the University of Oregon and then earned a second M.A., in Clinical Psychology from Adelphi University’s Gordon F. Derner Institute of Advanced Psychological Studies. As if that wasn’t enough, he completed a Postdoctoral Certificate in Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy in 1993.

These days, Dr. Michael Civin, Ph.D is a highly regarded clinical psychology specialist in the close-knit psychological services industry in New York City. He was a co-founder of Rose Hill Psychological Services back in 2007, and he continues to practice with them as a senior psychologist. That’s in addition to Dr. Michael Civin’s private practice that serves patients in many areas of the city. Dr. Civin treats new patients and some who have been around a long time and he does so with the greatest of care.
