Dr. Michael Civin

Few would argue that Dr. Michael Civin has a ton of education in his background, and he continues to learn to this day, even after about three decades of practice. His post-secondary education began when he graduated with an A.B. degree, cum laude from Harvard in 1968. He then attended the Albert Einstein College of Medicine for a year or so, before going on to earn the first of two Master of Arts degree in 1970. The first was earned from the University of Oregon, but he later earned his second M.A., in Clinical Psychology from the Gordon F. Derner Institute of Advanced Psychological Studies at Adelphi University in 1986.

Not content, Dr. Michael Civin then continued to study at Adelphi, and he obtained his Ph.D. in 1988. Later that year, Dr. Civin completed his medical degree from the Pennsylvania Institute Of Straight Chiropractic back in 1988. He then went on to complete a Postdoctoral Certificate in Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy in 1993, In addition to learning, Dr. Civin likes to teach. He has been a professor, faculty member, and associate professor at numerous institutions of higher learning ver the years. In addition, his research and writing has been published many times, as both journal articles and book chapters.
