Dr. Michael Civin

With more than thirty years of experience in psychology, Dr. Michael Civin has worked both in the field and in academia during his medical career. He achieved an A.B. degree from Harvard College in 1968, beginning his education. He continued his studies at the University of Oregon, earning his first of two Masters of Arts degree in 1970 — after a short stint for one year at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine for one year. Then in 1986, he received his second Masters, this time in clinical psychology, from Adelphi University‚Äôs Gordon F. Derner Institute of Advanced Psychological Studies — the same place he earned his PhD in clinical psychology in 1988.

All of this education led to postdoctoral work and working within academic for Dr. Michael Civin. He became an associate professor, professor and faculty members across several schools. But in addition to this education background, Civin helped patients directly, working within private practice. He co-founded the firm of Rose Hill Psychological Services in 2008 in New York City to aid patients, serving as a senior psychologist. Also, he maintains private practices with specialities in psychodiagnostics, adolescents, adult, group and supervision psychology across the New York City region, specifically with offices in Astoria, Manhattan and Bayville.
